Ridgid Warranties (800) 525-2579 https://www.ridgid.com/us/en/product-registration
Ridgid tools come with a 3-year Limited Warranty that is listed by a Date Code (Serial Number) on your tool or your Home Depot receipt. The paperwork that is provided when you purchase your tool must be turned in to Ridgid in order to obtain a Lifetime Warranty within 90 days of the purchase date. This can be done by mail or on-line (https://www.ridgid.com/us/en/product-registration). When it is complete, you will receive an LSA (Lifetime Service Agreement) Number from Ridgid. Keep this number handy with your receipt for any warranty repairs that you might need done in the future.
Failing to register your tool with Ridgid results in your tool only having a 3-year Limited Warranty.
If you do not turn in your paperwork within the 90-day time period, you can go on-line at: https://www.ridgid.com/us/en/product-registration or call (800)525-2579 to get an extension of your 3-year Limited Warranty with a copy of your receipt.
If you have a Ridgid band tool that was purchased before February 2004 and you have a copy of your receipt, you have a Lifetime Warranty. All other Ridgid tools will be serviced under the LSA# or the 3-Year Limited Warranty as is appropriate.
The model number is on the top left hand corner to the tool description box. The Date Code (Serial Number) is in the white box. If you do not have a registered tool with Ridgid, the Date Code is what we must base the warranty information on for the 3-Year Limited Warranty.
When bringing in a tool for repair, please bring your receipt and LSA#. This will make your transaction smoother and we will be able to process your paperwork that much sooner. If you have misplaced your LSA#, it is possible for us to locate it in the system provided that we have the name, address, phone number, model # and serial number of the registered tool. There are times when we are unable to locate it this way. Usually, that is because one of the bits of information is different than when it was originally registered. It is important that you provide us with the old address or phone number that the tool was registered with because Ridgid requires us to update your information in their system when completing a warranty. Also, it helps you should you ever need to bring your tool in for repair.
Ridgid Warranty Rules
Reconditioned Limited Warranty
Reconditioned tools automatically receive a 1-Year Limited Warranty from the date of purchase. A valid receipt from an authorized retailer is required. The warranty is not transferable to other individuals beyond the original purchaser. Reconditioned tools will have the word "RECON" or some variation stamped into the tools housing. Reconditioned tools are not eligible for the Lifetime Service Agreement.
3-Year Limited Warranty
Ridgid Brand Handheld Power Tools, Stationary Power Tools, and Pneumatic Tools are automatically covered under a 3-Year Limited Warranty. This 3-Year Limited Warranty begins from the date of purchase shown by a valid receipt. If a valid receipt is not available, the 3-Year Limited Warranty period begins from the date of manufacture on the originally purchased equipment. For batteries and chargers, if the receipt is not available, and the battery/charger serial code differs from the tool console by more than 12 weeks, the origin of the battery/charger cannot be verified. In this case, the tool Serial Code must be used to verify the warranty, NOT the battery/charger Serial Code. Note: All accessory batteries and chargers sold separately must have a valid receipt to verify warranty status since they are not sold with a tool console in a kit.
Lifetime Service Agreement (LSA)
The original purchaser of an eligible product may elect to register for a free Lifetime Service Agreement. The Lifetime Service Agreement status on a tool is not transferable to persons other than the original purchaser. Note: The Ridgid Lifetime Service Agreement is only available for eligible Ridgid tools purchased at The Home Depot.

What is Covered (Applies to the 3-Year Limited and Recon Limited Warranties and the Lifetime Service Agreement (LSA))
The 3-Year Limited Warranty, The Recon Limited Warranty and the Lifetime Service Agreement covers all worn parts in properly maintained tools. This includes normal wear items such as brushes, chucks, motors, switches, gears and even cordless batteries in your qualifying Ridgid handheld and stationary power tools. These programs also cover replacement rings, driver blades and bumpers on Ridgid pneumatic tools. This service coverage does not apply to other ineligible Ridgid products.
What is Not Covered (Applies to the 3-Year Limited and Recon Limited Warranties and the Lifetime Service Agreement (LSA))
The 3-Year Limited Warranty, The Recon Limited Warranty and the Lifetime Service Agreement covers are only applicable to the original purchaser and may not be transferred. These programs only cover wear and tear or failure of the tool arising under normal usage and proper maintenance. They do not cover any malfunction, failure or defect resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, alteration, modification or repair by anyone other than an authorized service center for Ridgid brand handheld, pneumatic and stationary power tools. Any damage or malfunction inflicted upon the tool by the user or other external sources, or any failure to comply with the warnings and instructions in the operator's manual is not covered.
Consumable accessories provided with the tool such as, but not limited to, saw blades, planer blades and knives, insert bits, drill bits, grinding wheels and discs, cut-off wheels, sandpaper, safety glasses and fasteners are not covered.
Any free or promotional serialized piece of equipment provided beyond the contents of the purchased tool kit is not eligible for the Lifetime Service Agreement.
How to Obtain Service
The Lifetime Service Agreement (if accepted), commences after the expiration of the standard Ridgid 3-Year Limited Warranty. To obtain service for this Ridgid tool on either the 3-Year Limited Warranty, the Lifetime Service Agreement, or the Recon Limited Warranty, you must bring the equipment to an authorized Ridgid Service Center. You may obtain the location of the Authorized Service Center nearest you by logging on the the Ridgid website at: www.ridgid.com. When requesting service under the Lifetime Service Agreement, you must present your Lifetime Service Agreement Identification Number and proper personal identification (a valid Driver's License, Passport or Military I.D.). If a cordless tool kit requires a battery and/or charger replacement, the tool console, battery and charger purchased together must be present for proper diagnosis and warranty identification.
If a serialized piece of equipment with LSA status is ever replaced, the customer has 90 days to call 1-866-539-1710 and re-register that piece of equipment. Proof of replacement is required. Pieced of eligible equipment that are not re-registered within 90-days of replacement are not covered by the Lifetime Service Agreement.
If a serialized piece of equipment without LSA status is ever replaced, the 3-Year Limited Warranty period on the replacement piece of equipment starts from the original date of purchase, not the date of replacement. Note that for this same reason, the Serial Code of a replacement piece of equipment cannot be used to verify warranty. For batteries and chargers, if the receipt is not available, and the battery and/or charger Serial Code differs from the tool console by more than 12 weeks, the battery and/or charger was not sold with the console and therefore the origin of the battery and/or charger cannot be verified. In this case, the tool Serial Code must be used to verify the warranty, NOT the battery and/or charger Serial Code. Note that the replacement of all accessory batteries and chargers must have a receipt to verify warranty status since these items are not sold with a tool console in a kit.
If a serialized piece of equipment is ever replaced under the Recon Limited Warranty, the 1-Year Limited Warranty period on the replacement piece of equipment starts from the original date of purchase, not the date of replacement. The original receipt is required to verify warranty status.
All Lifetime Service Agreement communications should be directed to One World Technologies, Inc., Attn: Ridgid Handheld and Stationary Power Tool Technical Service or call toll free (866)539-1710.
