RIDGID Warranties
Emerson Lifetime Warranty
What Products: RIDGID Bench-top, primarily grey tools.
What’s Covered: Manufacturing defects for the lifetime of the tool.
What’s Not Covered: Normal Wear items, Misuse, abuse, neglect, alteration/repair by an un-authorized service center.
Documentation Required: Nothing
Replacement: If replaced with similar model tool, the new tool maintains that same Emerson warranty. Not LSA eligible.
TTi Lifetime Warranty
What Products: RIDGID tools sold between Sept. 1 2003 and Jan. 31 2004.
What’s covered: Normal wear items, manufacturing defects, for the lifetime of the tool.
What’s not covered: Misuse, abuse, neglect, alteration/repair by other than an authorized service center.
Documentation Required: Valid legible proof of purchase from an authorized retailer (Home Depot or RIDGE Tool).
Replacement: If replaced with an identical or upgraded model, the Lifetime warranty remains based on the orig. receipt. Proof of replacement and original receipt required for future replacements. Not LSA eligible.
3-Year Limited Warranty
What Products: RIDGID Tools sold Feb. 1 2004-present.
What’s covered: Normal wear items and manufacturing defects for 3 years from date of purchase or date of manufacture on originally purchased equipment (shown by serial code).
What’s not covered: Misuse, abuse, neglect, alteration/repair by other than an authorized service center.
Documentation Required (Tool Service): Valid legible receipt from an authorized retailer, or legible serial code.
Documentation Required (Battery/Charger Service): Valid legible receipt. If receipt is not available, and the battery/charger serial code differs from tool console more than 12 weeks, the origin of the battery/charger cannot be verified. In this case, the tool serial code must be used to verify the warranty, NOT the battery/charger serial code.
Replacement: If tools, batteries, or chargers are replaced, the 3-year warranty period does not ‘restart.’ Any replacement carries the remaining warranty period from original date of purchase, or original date of manufacture. Not LSA eligible.
Life-time Service Agreement
What Products: Eligible RIDGID tools sold between Jan 1 2005-present (Registration required within 90 days of purchase) if receipt/UPC mail-in step is not completed, tools only have a 3-yr warranty. Authorized receipts for new, non-recon tools must come from Home Depot, RIDGE Tool Service Centers or TTi Factory Outlet Stores.
What’s Covered: Normal wear items and manufacturing defects for the lifetime of the original purchaser.
What’s not covered: Misuse, abuse, neglect, alteration/repair by other than an authorized service center.
Documentation Required: Customer ID number, and proof of customer identify to match the account.
Replacement: It is the customer’s responsibility to call RIDGID and re-register any replacement tools or components within 90 days of replacement, proof of replacement required.
90 Day Satisfaction Guarantee
The customer may return the product to The Home Depot up to 90 days after the date of purchase for a full refund. Proof of purchase and all original equipment packaged with the original product must be presented at the time of the return. Abused or misused products are not accepted.
RECON
If a tool was purchased with the word ‘RECON’ stamped into the side of the housing, the tool only qualifies for a one year warranty from the purchase date. Proof of purchase (valid legible receipt from an authorized retailer) must be presented. Receipts must come from a legitimate business; sales made by individuals are not accepted.
